What can I use Dukkah for?

This is one of my most commonly asked questions, which I love to answer.

Why? Because the possibilities are endless, and my mind lights up with all the delicious recipes and foods I have added Dukkah to.

You can pretty much add Dukkah to anything you want. From eggs (any way) to pizza, fish, ice cream, and even chocolate. It’s an addictive taste sensation that’s free from rubbish preservatives, colours and flavours. Not to mention this wonder food is also full of protein and good fats, so it’s the ultimate ‘Guilt Free’ addition to any dish!

my top recommendations for how to use Our Original Dukkah for savoury dishes.

Oil & Bread

Traditionally Dukkah is served with olive oil and fresh bread as a dip. It also is a real celebration of the Dukkah itself. Simply take a piece of your favourite sourdough, Turkish bread, or any rustic bread you like. Add a little extra virgin olive oil to a small dipping bowl, and add your Dukkah to another small dipping bowl.

Take a piece of bread, dip it in the oil, then into the Dukkah and Enjoy! Yummm!

Crumb Coating

Forget the batter or breadcrumbs, go with a healthier option and coat your fish, chicken, or lamb. You can do one side or both, it’s up to you. Then cook the meat as you like – BBQ, grill, bake. Dukkah crusted salmon, is simply mouth-watering!

Sprinkle on Soup

Who doesn’t love a warm bowl of pumpkin soup in winter? Channel your favourite chef and jazz up each serving with a sprinkle of Dukkah, some fresh herbs, and a dollop of cream. Yum! I can smell it from here.

Crunch Up a Salad

Salads don’t need to be boring. Adding a little extra spice and crunch can really take your salad to the next flavoursome level. Mix in some Dukkah to your salad, share with family and friends and watch their eyes light up in delight.

Breakfast Elevation

How do you like your eggs? Poached? Scrambled? Sunny Side Up? This Sunday, sprinkle a little Dukkah over the top and let those eggs pop.

Tasty Snacks

Need a healthy afternoon/morning snack? Try some smashed avocado on crackers and instead of cracked pepper try some Dukkah.

My top recommendations for how to use our Sweet Fennel Dukkah.

Ice Cream Delight

Vanilla ice cream with Sweet Fennel Dukkah is really something else. You should definitely give this one a go. If ice cream doesn’t agree with you, try it with coconut ice cream or vanilla yoghurt. If you’re trying to impress your kids, dip their ice-cream topped waffle cones into the Dukkah. They’ll love it.

Chocolate Bark

Making your own chocolate bark with the kids is a lot of fun. There are no rules here. You can melt down your own favourite chocolate bar, or make your own with cacao, throw in some dried fruits, nuts, edible flowers and a dash of Sweet Fennel Dukkah.

Pork on Your Fork

Pork with something sweet always tastes soooo good. Add the Dukkah as a crumb or sprinkle on top of your pork, or mix it in with your apple sauce. Yes, please!

Poached Dessert

Lift the flavour sensation of your poached pears or apple crumble by adding some Sweet Fennel Dukkah. This is guaranteed to delight any dinner guests.
